The Bupa Great North Run the world’s biggest half marathon, took place on Sunday 20th September 2009 in Gateshead, Newcastle. 54,000 runners were taking part in this years marathon and the atmosphere was electric! Our very own Suresh Patel took part this year and raised a fantastic £2500 for Cancer Research UK. He completed the course in a very respectable 1:45:32.
